First of all if you want people to be able to find it in search engines, you can ether submit your site to all of the search engines, Or place some links to your site in known existing sites such as forums that search engines know about. Search engines regularly search through the internet finding links to new sites, once they find a new site they add it to their search engine, the more links to that site that they find they higher your page rank is. 
If you can not think where you will put links to your site, I will put links to your site on mine, I will do this regardless unless you tell me not to. I can even list your site in forums and advertise your site for no extra cost, but you must ask me to do this.
I have had allot of luck getting internet flows to my sites from forums, etc, and business from free internet classifieds, such as for my tuition services, and I can find forums and free classifieds relating to your site!
